As the library intern at the Frances Mulhall Achilles Library at the Whitney Museum for the spring 2019 semester, my main project was rehousing special collections backlog. I worked with library staff to create a better workflow for processing special collections backlog, putting a new organizational system in place to make sure materials get properly housed and put on the shelves in a more timely manner. The workflow that we created could be useful to other museum libraries with similar collections and preservation needs.
